I often get questions about diet & exercise; how I eat the way I do () & stay in shape. Please remember that I only post bits & pieces of my life on social media which means you’re only seeing the good stuff, the best angles & the fun food 😊 But everything I choose to post is authentic & true to myself. I believe in balance & moderation. I REALLY love food & I love working out. I’ve gained weight & I’ve lost weight. I’m human & sometimes I overindulge for longer than I should but that’s OKAY! I don’t exercise more or eat less to make up for anything. When it comes to diet, I don’t look at food as good or bad & choose to see all food as fuel. Of course, real whole foods are nutritionally better than processed foods, but too much of anything is a bad thing & a bit of everything won’t hurt. Because of this, I have a much healthier & positive relationship with food. I eat what I want, when I want. I truly believe that any negative feelings towards food is worse for your body & that even referring to something as a ‘cheat’ or ‘guilt-free’ subconsciously messes up your relationship with food & has consequences in the long run. You can eat your greens, smash your workouts, drink your water & take your vitamins, but if you don’t work on your mind & the way you think about food & exercise, you’re still going to be unhealthy & unhappy. When it comes to working out, I do high intensity interval training ( is the best workout in the world) combined with weight lifting & stretching. My days are so much better when I wake up early & break a sweat 💪 I never weigh myself because I’m more than a number on a scale & my aim is to be strong not skinny. I workout because it makes me feel GOOD, not because it will make me feel bad if I don’t. I challenge & cherish my body in equal measures & do it all because I love my body, not because I hate it! Honestly, I’m always flattered when I receive compliments of any kind but I don’t want to be ‘goals’ at the detriment of anyone’s physical or emotional health. I’m always happy to share my journey & what works for me but everyone is different & no one should be comparing themselves to others!
